Pudding ion exchange resin
CAS number:Molecular formula:
Overview, properties, functions, and uses:also known as a type of composite resin(IER).To enable the application of particulate resin in conventional ion exchange technology, two types of particulate ion exchange resins can be embedded in a matrix that can penetrate water and salt in the required proportion,so that the overall particles still have normal size. This composite resin can be made from finely ground commercial ion exchange resin, known as raisin pudding resin. For example, anionic and cationic fine powder resins are embedded into hydrophilic polymers such as cellulose, polysalts,or polyvinyl alcohol crosslinked with dialdehyde.Due to the standard ion exchange resin particle size of the matrix particles, the operation is very convenient.
Powdered ion exchange resin
CAS number:Molecular formula:
Overview, properties, functions, and uses:Refers to ion exchange resins with an irregular fine powder(over 200 mesh)appearance.Generally, fine powder resin can be directly prepared by lotion polymerization,or spherical resin can be mechanically crushed and sieved. This type of resin is used for special occasions and can be used as a filter(plate)in condensate treatment. At present,a large number of powdered ion exchange resins are mainly used to manufacture heterogeneous ion exchange membranes.Mix 60%to 70%resin powder with 30%to 40%high-pressure polyethylene particles, add polyisobutylene and calcium stearate, mix them on a hot roller to form flakes, and then press them with nylon mesh on a press to form an ionic membrane product.
Monofunctional ion exchange resin
CAS number:Molecular formula:
Overview, properties, functions, and uses refer to the general term for various ion exchange resins that only contain a single type of exchange group on the cross-linked or non cross-linked structure of ion exchange resins.Such as commonly used sulfonic acid cation resin, carboxylic acid cation resin, quaternary ammonium anion resin, etc.
The Use of Macroporous Ion Exchange Resins
CAS number:Molecular formula:
Overview, properties, functions, and uses:Sometimes also commonly referred to as macroporous ion exchange resin. It is a resin with a large pore network three-dimensional structure and exchange groups. This type of resin is generally synthesized by adding pore forming agents or inert fillers through a polymerization process. It is different from the gel type resin. The spherical particles have a capillary structure inside, opaque appearance, compression elasticity and mechanical strength, and better pollution resistance than the gel type resin.Like the gel type ion exchange resin,it has been widely used in various industrial fields.
Phenolic polyamine ion exchange resin
CAS number:Molecular formula:
Overview, properties, functions, and uses:It is an early developed ion exchange resin variety. For example, adding polyamines such as tetraethylenepentamine during the condensation of phenol and formaldehyde can produce anion exchange resins.Due to its inferior comprehensive performance compared to anion exchange resins synthesized with styrene divinylbenzene as the skeleton material, this type of resin is now rarely used.
